Twenty-eight sherds, representing at least three hand-made vessels, were found by chance. They belong to the southern British Deverel-Rimbury tradition of Bronze Age pottery, and the forms include bucket urns, a globular urn and a possible biconical urn. The find is discussed in the context of other Bronze Age material from local sites, and in relation to contemporary cremation cemeteries or settlements in the lower Thames valley generally.
